About DirhamScan

DirhamScan compares the prices of the same product across online stores in the UAE, so you can see who sells it for less before you buy. We do not sell anything ourselves.

How prices are collected

• Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED). A price is shown only when the store listed the product in stock within the last 24 hours; older prices are hidden.
• We compare prices only for exactly the same item: the same model and the same storage, colour, size or volume. A product that only looks similar is never mixed in.
• Prices far from what other stores ask for the same item are shown apart, marked as possibly out of date.
• The price on the store's own site is the one that counts. Always check it there before you pay.

Independence

Stores do not pay to be ranked: sellers are listed by price, cheapest first. Some links to stores may earn us a commission; this never changes the order.

For store owners: our robot

Our robot reads public product and price information slowly, one request at a time, and follows each site's robots.txt. It identifies itself as:

DirhamScanBot/0.1 (+https://dirhamscan.com/bot; bounded public price catalogue)

To stop it, add these lines to your robots.txt; it stops within 12 hours:

User-agent: DirhamScanBot
Disallow: /

A store that answers our robot with “too many requests” or “forbidden” is left alone for at least six hours.
